Flight to the North Pole
Every year, I get to help bring PAL Airlines' Flight to the North Pole event to life as the Art Director. It's easily one of the most unique projects I work on, and probably the most exhausting, but it's also the one I look forward to the most. Seeing everything come together and watching families experience the event makes all the late nights and busy days completely worth it. The event gives children the chance to board a real PAL Airlines flight, travel to the "North Pole", and meet Santa Claus, all while bringing together radio stations, airports, and community partners to create a full holiday experience. Taking place in Moncton, NB, St. John's, NL, and Québec, QC, I help create all of the visual pieces that bring the event to life, including boarding passes, pop-up banners, window coverings, scarves, television graphics, and other event materials. I also work closely with photographers and video crews to plan the content we need to capture throughout the day, while helping coordinate the setup and visual details on-site. This is a project that has grown into an annual tradition for me. Watching something start as ideas and designs on my screen and turn into a real experience for families is what makes this one of my favourite projects to be part of.
