St. John's International Airport
Before PAL Airlines' brand refresh, I designed a series of illustrated ads for the baggage carousel at St. John's International Airport using the airline's original illustration style. The campaign was designed to rotate with the seasons and speak to a variety of travellers, from professionals and students to construction workers travelling for work. Since the artwork stretched across two large baggage carousel panels, I designed each scene to flow naturally into the next, creating one continuous illustration instead of two separate advertisements. One of my favourite parts of the project was finding little ways to connect the scenes and make the illustrations feel like they belonged together. It was a fun exercise in designing for a large physical space rather than a screen, where things like viewing distance, scale, and how people move through the airport all became part of the design process. Seeing the finished installation in the terminal made the project especially rewarding.
